PTI's Precision Cleaning division has added passivation of stainless steel using citric acid to its cleaning processes.
This new technology uses a safe and environmentally friendly citric acid formulation that when used in ultrasonic equipment CLEANS and REMOVES THE FREE IRON from the surface of stainless steel in a ONE STEP PROCESS.
This process meets the requirements of ASTM A 967-05 and ASM 2700 on nearly all grades of stainless. Some industries using citric acid include fasteners, medical devices, semi-conductors, automotive and aerospace. |
